I see customizing potential in the new animated figures. Gangly? Yes, but potential. For one the wrists are more articulated, a huge plus! While being that skinny, it saves all that time dremeling figures and more time sculpting on details.

it was in a Hasbro Q&A session Q. Why did Hasbro decide to make their Clone Wars figure line incompatible with the rest of the 3.75" figure line? When it comes to play-patterns and the ability for Hasbro to reuse body-parts/components from previously released figures, this move seems like a huge gamble. Has Hasbro thought of the possibility that many collectors will pass on the figures in this line (like they did for the previous cartoon Clone Wars-inspired line) because they do not conform with the other line that has been running since 1995? A. We did not decide to make that decision ourselves - it was a collaborative decision reached with Lucasfilm in order to best match the on-screen entertainment to the toy line. For the vast majority of kids who will be enjoying the new entertainment, this will be the relevant figure line. Since the kids will vastly outnumber the collectors this Fall, especially for Clone Wars, this is a decision we felt was the easy one to make. However, as discussed previously, collectors did contribute to our thinking. www.jeditemplearchives.com/content/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=3827/#details

It appears to be. I think I saw a reveiw a while back that showed that they do, though can't remember where that was.

yeah, Julien, the wrists are ball jointed just like Gree has.
I don't know where Hasbro's saying they've made them bigger, you can see in the picture I took that Rex is clearly the same height as the 2 from the Legacy Collection.
and yeah, Dion, I definitely see customs potential in the new line too.

I also thought the animated battledroids would make good fodder for varient versions of battledroids.

"Fans will outnumber collectors" what fucking fantasy world is lucas living in?
Umm, we know that we only make a profit because of our loyal fans, but fuck em, we'll try johnny lunchbox.

hehehe, I was waiting for that...
Well decided against going to Target for these figures for one simple fact... If I saw an AT-TE and didn't have the money for it, I might fall to my knees in the store and start crying... So I am just going to hold off on figures till I am working or get AT-TE, whichever comes first.
