Yup. Me. I got me some sculpting stuff and one of my figures thanks to my lovely wife and have resumed customizing on a limited basis. Who are we kidding? I could not have gone a year without making a custom. It was a lame story and comic, but the idea was brilliant. Wolverine + Venom= Badass! Wolvenom Here's what I got:    |

HOLY CRAP! That is some serious sculpting you got going on there, the head is looking awesome. Toothpicks for the claws is ingenious. I'm really looking forward to seeing how this progresses.
What are you using to sculpt with?

I think we need to run a thread for "tools of the trade" Just have everyone detail tools we all need, you know, dremel, dental tools, old toothbrush, which brushes are quality, etc, |

JD, I am using dental tools an x-acto knife and some cheap sculpting tools from Hobby Lobby..

awesome. My wife thinks however that the starting figure should have been a wolverine figure and do the exact same scuplting technique to get the effect. In essense it would be almost like the litteral "venom suit" engulfing the wolverine figure.... Conceptually it makes ironic sense... What you have going here however is awesome. I love the head!

Ok, update time: He's a little rough around some of the edges, esp. the claws. I'll have to fix that when I have better supplies. The camel's tounge just isnt cutting it as sandpaper.   |
