I have a couple of those figures. Thought about using one for a War Machine custom.

Do you know what the Parts are, so I can have a go at it?

That's pretty cool. Excessively expensive, but cool.

Yeah, those Monev figures don't come cheap. It's been pretty high on my "wanting to chop into it" list for a long time (along with the Fantastic Four movie Doombot and Mechahulk).

I've been lucky and picked up two of the red ones for not too bad of a price and also the black and clear one as well.

I had a red one that I got for $10. Sadly, had is the key word. :-\

Hawk, you should make a custom from one of the red ones. I am interested on how it turns out.

Oh man, that's cool, you whip that up just now? What did you do with the rest of Monev, AV?

Hell yeah that's mine. You can tell by the roughness and shitty paintjob it's a few years old (at least, I like to pretend I'm getting better over time, lol). I think I did that before the HB figs had disappeared from the shelves since I did Robin's Red Robo (about 2/3s down the page) after that SawSNAKE.

That's a cool custom too. The head you used reminds me of an Invid from Robotech. Where did that head come from?

I think the Hulkbuster is a damn fine price all things considered.
AV your custom is awesome.

The head on the Red Robo is from a Gorem Zoid kit I bought from a comic shop in the Willow Grove mall when I was living in PA back in '95 for about $40. It had a sweet pilot fig about 3" tall but I've sadly lost him. I'd always wanted to bash the monkey (no, not like that) so he had full and proper artic, but the engine in him only enabled him to move in a walking motion. What good's a 25-foot tall mecha gorilla if he can't throw his arms wide and wreak shit? But, to the subject at hand; the fig's extremely nicely painted; but that's all it really is aside from the headswap. I hate that good paintjobs get more respect than actual surgery, makes me pout and whine in the corner, dammit. The Moniv fig is most impressive but it's got all these weird swivel-only joints attempting to replicate ball motion, so you can only get a handful of really cool poses out of him and get frustrated by not getting others.

Just in case you missed it the Hulk buster figure went for $356 + shipping. Now that is making money hand over fist in this economy and tells you some people (six bidders) are willing to use whats left or their disposable income on things.
