It has been pointed out to me that if you don't tell someone there is a hand on the pointy end this could be a pretty universal flame effect for weapons, jetpacks, back firing exhaust etc.

Have you thought about doing modular bases, maybe using a hexagonal design, that interlock?

I have, but is is already a bitch and a half to get the corners square. If you happen to have a nice hexagonal razor cutter you want to toss my way, then well . . . .

Ok, I got my casts painted and took some shots to show their size a little more effectively. Here is the befores. All four are the same size 3X2 inches. As you can see they work pretty well across the lines. I didnt have any starwars figs to pose on em. A back deck brawl.   He stalks the cobblestones.   Oooh shiney   I posed it, and I don't know if it is a happy scene or not.   |
