Since that's the idea I think I've decided on going with for the 30th aniv. figure repaint here is a concept repaint sketch. Now the picture isn't my original work but the repainting of the armor is. what do you guys think of the color scheme? Any ideas or changes I should make?

looks good, a black jumpsuit with a midnight blue armor set might work as well.
or are you strictly shades of grey?

Looks good. Though like Simon said, a look like Stealth Armor Iron Man would be cool.

dude, that drawing is fuckin' amazing.
if the custom is half as cool as the concept art, it won't matter what color scheme you use for the figure.
I'm voting black for the jumpsuit and gunmetal for the armor plates in any case.

I was going for primarilly shades of grey with red accent still on the helmet and gauntlets.
DARK DARK blue armor was an option as I'm wanting to go with a blue visor instead of black since there will be so much black in the suit.

well I'm having problems with the paint on the legs not drying. I am going to have to strip it I think and repaint it.. I don't know what I'm going to do... I put the feet on and the hands and everything back together and I've got to say if I ever get it finished it looks bad ass! I can't wait to get it perfected.

shit, dude, I don't even know what to suggest because I'm having trouble imaging why the legs aren't cooperating for the paint if the arms ARE.
I'm curious, what kind of paint are you using?
really, I'm pretty sure the paint isn't the problem (if it was, then the arms and maybe even the helemt would also be presenting an issue) but I'm trying to come up with something helpful.
anyone else have any ideas?

Looks like you're using testors enamels. It will never dry on the plastic. The only thing I could suggest is to strip it and switch to acrylics. Or start over with a new figure. Just make sure you use water based paint, not oil based. I would recommend finding testors model master acryls, games workshops paints, or tamiya acrylics. Those are the best paints for figures. Oh and then seal it with testors dullcote.
