wii remote lightsaber hilt

I want to make a wii remote lightsaber hilt for playing The force Unleashed. I mean they have the sports game attachments so why don't they have a lightsaber?! I mean COME ON nintendo it's a NO BRAINER! I mean they have this POS:



But it's exactly that, a pos....

I got to looking at my remotes and they fit perfect into 1 1/2" pvc pipe... so... I think I'm going to break out the dremel and build a hilt that the remote will fit into out of the pvc pipe. The game doesn't use the IR sensor so I don't have to worry about blocking that when I build it so that is nice...

I might change my mind and buy a cheap toy lightsaber to use as the base so that it has the extending blade on it as well and that may add a little more realism to the game play.....

It's designed to be a pool stick for billiard games on the wii. But what I like about it is how the remote fits into the holster. The front of it has threading on it which may be compatible with the threads of PVC pipe fitings... if that is the case it would be realy easy to make a blade for it using that as the remote holder...

But I still think making one from scratch will be more fun and I'll be able to make it look more Star Warsey...
