Ok, here are the fairly lame pics I took of the traveling SEAL while he was here. Sorry guys, I tried. We had NO interesting animals at work the day I took him in. The SEAL With No Name spends the day at the vet's office. First an encounter with vicious Pixie Bob cats: Then he gets ignored by the office cat: "What just happened here?" He gets a chance to consult on an x-ray: And samples a bit of the inhalent anesthesia before he goes: Then it's off to Colorado Springs to visit Mamahawk. First a look at the hot air balloon show: SEAL and Mamahawk: And finally the SEAL and Pikes Peak: Brian has the SEAL now, pics of him in Ireland and Afghanistan to come!

Nah, I don't think I could pull off an animal pattern... I'd prefer that you not "pull off" any of your clothing. We aren't so easily swayed by your futon.

I thought a mani-pedi would be nice, too. We just ran out of time to get that done.

I think the SEAL was hitting on Hawkeye's mom in this picture. He's looking at her with googly eyes. LOL

They are supposed to look like a small lynx or a bobcat, usually they have no tail, or a very short stubby one, and are often polydactyl (lots of extra toes). They're expensive, but they pretty much just look like regular cats to me.

how many extra toes?

Post by Lady Hawk on Sept 27, 2008 0:36:32 GMT -5
One or two extra per foot, usually front feet.
Ok, I guess that's not lots of extra toes, but seven toes on a paw does look kind of funny.

lol does it help them climb better...? Or is it like a human having webbed fingers and trying to swim better....?

Hmm...I dunno. Some of them have the extra toes arranged in a way that I bet they would be useful. Some of them are kind of stuck on there at odd angles that I think it would make it MORE difficult to climb.

Ireland pics are still on the computer of the man under fire at the moment. We probably won't see them until he gets back to Phoenix and has time to get them posted.
