im thinkin of doing a "super gunship" for my clones. im thinkin of gettin a AT-TE and removing the legs in favor of landing skids or cargo bays and bolting 2 pairs of the LAAT wings to it or taking a vintage AT-AT and doin the same thing to it. what do you guys think?
i know. yet a 'nother bastardization of a SW vehicle lol ;D

I don't know, the ATTE is just so darn cool, I don'tknow if I could cut one up. i said that once... the thought of a flying AT-TE changed that. i m not sure if il leave the cannon on it though. maybe ill repostion it to the underside of it... or just add more smaller guns

A flying AT-TE would be pretty fucking cool.
I'm sure I'll customize at least one of mine.

i at one point i had the idea to paint one like a lowrider and a squad to go along with it. but a lime green and dark purple squad would probably die pretty fast.

hmm a flying at-te huh... that would be interesting to see. Have you looked at my sketch up for the aquatic at-te? Something similar to it with wings attached would be cool. Make the rear two legs into steering vanes or something, the middle legs into giant turbines which stick out on the sides to add propulsion.
idk... heres another idea you could toy with. Make the laat converted into the dropship version and then the atte a permenant attachment to it underneath. like a gigantic dropship...
OR... if your just wanting to convert a laat for s&g then convert it for space travel. make all the compatments close up completely and then make some kind of uber cool adition to it to make it different than the regular one. (the version on TFU has 4 wings and a wierd cockpit...)

I saw a custom which reminded me of what you were wanting to do on e-bay. There is a large helicopter which they sell at TRU, one of those twin rotor style ones? IDK the name... anyway it's for a "offbrand" line of figures. I honestly don't even know which line of toys it is in...
anyway the custom I saw took that helicopter, removed he rotors and top engines and reconfigured it with parts from some star wars ships and made it into a large gunship... it was pretty cool I'll try and find a pic of it if I can...

Yes, quite right. It is a Chinook.
Have ridden in a few of them here, have a few cool pics of them too.
I looked at attaching the gunship wings to the AT-TE, it looks to be quite a chore, just about any attachment point will interfere with the doors, which I want to remain funtional.
Post a link if you find that custom, I'd like to see it.
