I bought an evo trooper from wall-mart the other day because I realy loved the figure... I was going to use it for a custom but I have no idea what to do with it! I realy like the figure as is as far as sculpting and what not so I don't think I'll add anything.
Maybe some more armor? or more weopons? make his environmental suit more heavy duty? More oxygen tanks and hoses or something? One thought I had was to give him something like the Cobra CLAW and make him a "high altitude trooper" or something...
or I might just make him a shadow evo trooper... that's always a good cop out for troopers you don't know what to do with right?! lol

Are they the hazardous condition troopers?
Why not adapt them to places like mustafar or hoth?

Hmm... that'd be a good idea! A mustafar evo trooper, LAVA TROOPER! I'm doing that! thanks Narc! Love it.
So... heres my thoughts, of course it's going to have a red and black paint scheme. I'm thinking puting blobs of hot glue on the feet and parts of the armor to make it look like it's got blobs of hardened lava stuck to him.
Any other ideas?

Well, the weapon with that EVO Trooper figure was total crap because when they designed the figure it was early in the game's development process so all Hasbro had for trooper reference were the very first LFL approved concepts for the armor, without any gear, and that was before the weaponry was ever considered.
Basically that timeframe was way before the studio that developed TFU game had started to fill in the details that would eventually show up as part of the characters on the screen. By the time the studio was designing the troopers' new gear, they had already given Hasbro all of the earliest templates of everything to make the toys of because the figure design process from concept to production figure is well over a year... and Lucas big plan was to have ALL multimedia products from TFU including the figures come out the same time as the game (although that plan ended up failing when the game's release was delayed twice anyway).
... In essence, by the time the crazy gear for the new stormtrooper variations for TFU were added into the in-progress game program, it was too late in the toy development phases for Hasbro to start on the accurate weapons and stuff. So they just decided to give the Evo and Jump troopers the same old stale movie guns... Even Hasbro has admitted they wished the Jump figure could have included the railgun they used in the game but they couldn't help it.
Anyways, all that said, all I'm suggesting is re-arm the Evo trooper to have some sort of wicked new heavy blasters or a big handheld cannon or something. And please give him a better backpack than that simple lame one the figure came with.

NFC, I'm doing a brand new backpack and weopons pluss some added gear.
I did like the idea of the "flechette launcher" that the packaging described.
I'll be working more on it tonight and hopefully have some WIP pics up in the next few days.
