25th Anniversary RECONDO

Picked up an Assault on Cobra Island Recondo off ebay and I figured you guys might want some pictures.

Is it a perfect new version of jungle trooper Daniel LeClaire? No. But then for me the original figure never had any excitement factor anyway, the character as written was cooler than the old khaki figure was. So this is mostly a Dusty repaint with a new, appropriate head/face sculpt, but it works in the spirit of being a new take on military safari tour guide.

And FINALLY his freakin' hat comes off his head after 25 years of waiting!















PS yeah, the rifle is an all new sculpt. it's similar in the pictures to his original but it's definitely an update. (if I had one of the original guns from '84 I would have snapped a comparison picture of them but I don't.)

I agree with John, I like the looks of it, looks better than the original, cant wait to get one.

If nothing else, it's a great base figure to start a custom from, though I am bummed that he's just a repaint, of course.

EBay might not be a bad idea for this set, is it ever going to hit the internet stores?

looks cool, def. like the hat. it's a shame he doesn't come with a working holster. I realy don't like those chest strap holsters... of course I don't know what the original looked like so I don't know how it compares but I'm sure it looks better.
