Following up on Doc Hawk's request to see some of my unfinished perma-WIPs (and Strax' unspoken wish for me to quit threadjacking him, lol); here's a bunch of stuff that's been sitting unworked-on literally for years. If you're interested in taking over on them; some of them I could part with permanently, some I could part with temporarily, and some I can't part with at all; but I'm open to discussion. Repeat pics of the Hover-Truck: The main body is some MicroMachines knock-off playset that converted from some weird General-style mobile base and opened up to have a bunch of gun emplacements and such crapola. Don't remember the name of the line it's from, but I think it was made by Matchbox. A pvc pipe forms the gunner's seat, and the seat from the Patriot is the driver's. I had a seat for the co=pilot/cmdr but it's gone the way of the dodo, it seems. It's got a lot of Robotix bits, notably the gunner's seat (which spins around and I was gonna put a bunch of 360-view displays on the inside of the tube), and the bits connecting the wheels/fans to the body. I wanted the wheels to have louvres in the center and they'd rotate under to convert from regular driving to water hovering. This was gonna be the vehicle BattleForce 2100 used to get their weird mad-scientist contraptions hastily built back at the lab out to the field to wreck the actual mad scientist's evil plans. and the Mobile ScopeDog facility, aka the 'Rover': You can see I've gutted the interior of the first and second levels, and surgerated quite a bit of stuff around so the kneeling 'Dog would fit in there. I'd have to glue the shell of the second level in place, but I'd keep the 'tackle-boxing' of the third level as I think the 'Dog would need to stand up in order to turn and walk out into battle. However, I really want to spin the third level around ass-to-front for several reasons, and the holes for the rocker-arms don't line up to work that way. I'd have to do a 25A Armadillo, and I'd add in a few extra tidbits and greeblies here and there, then paint it in my BF2100 colors of olive drab, black, and gray/silver.

Alrighty, on to new old crap. First is this funky cycle I bashed with a leftover seat/chassis from a Speeder Bike and a keen robo-cycle I got on sale from HLJ several months ago. The robojockey would launch up off the bike and it would ride independantly. It's got 4 wheels, and the front two are independantly suspensioned. I was gonna give it to my Maj Motoko Kusanagi fig. Oh, and the bike's like 6 stories tall in scale, lol. This is a bash of the original Tron lightcycle with the shoulders and winglets from a bootleg Optimal Optimus Beast Wars Transformer. Nothing big, just wanting a lightcycle that could fly, too. The wings can spin all around and fold flat or flat-out. Here's the body of that rejigger of the TIE Bomber I mentioned a while back. The wings are elsewhere, and I was gonna have them be removeable so they could be positioned pointing forward or backward.

This is the Dreadnok Lightning Machine, a companion to the Thunder Machine. It's a bash of the old Fisher-Price dragster and some Rumble Cars add-on bits. I never finished it as I obviously can't paint lightning for shit. Y'all may recall that I've incorporated all the Jedi and Sith as 'Force replicants' of themselves with their 'souls' having been drawn out of the Force and put into new cloned bodies by Darth Vespaar in his quest to kill Palpatine and his Kree Armies, and this was to be Yoda. I've hated *every*single*one* of the Yodas Kenner and Hasbro has put out since the original ESB fig; either because they all have less articulation and accessories than the ESB fig or because they look like he's constipatied with a Wookiee-sized turd that's probably just as hairy. I'd had the Lost in Space fighter for a bit, and then came across the MegaBloks Transformer knock-off in the keen capsule that looked remarkably like the pod Yoda lifts off from Kashyyyk in ROTS; and wanted to bash them so the pod becomes the pilot cabin for the fighterwing left in orbit. So, I bashed that ESB fig onto a Stikfa fig and promptly gave everything up as that sucked ass. This is the CHISS, Command HISS; or something. It's a Big Trak with a turret from some 21st/XD/bbi/whoever tank and ShockWave's pistol muzzle. I was gonna raise the top of the Trak to allow there to be headroom for figs to walk around in there, and the round section up front-top would raise like a pillbox's periscope.

This is a RoboTech Southern Cross hovertank surgerated to be sturdier and non-transforming, bashed up with some floaty pontoons. I could never figure how to cover the area between the pilot under the red canopy and the rear-facing gunner under the blue canopy. All four weapons extend, for whatever that's worth. This is a SHIELD Flying VAMP, with working fold-under wheels. I started with a junk VAMP that didn't have the cabin panels and tried to fake up some gull-wing doors like the MASK ThunderWing; but I suck at it. It needs some greebly detailing in the wheel wells, I think, then a nice white silver-white, blue, and gold paintjob.

And this is the BattleForce/SHIELD U.S.S. Asimov (U.S.S. Armstrong was also a contender, but an Army Reserve WO3 I respect a lot liked 'Asimov' more). It's integral to a Universe Asunder tale where we kick the crap out of the invading Kree and Thanagarians and they leave Earth alone. It was to be piloted by Major Liftoff (named after my li'l buddy), commanded by Col. Dodger (also serving as gunner for the Quark-flavor Polarity Selector Cannon seen on the starboard side of the ship), and somebody else in the Navigator/Shield Maintenance position (I was thinking a B-list techy superhero from the DCU to tie stiff together). It's a bash of the Crusader and the Bandai Gundam Dendrobium toy, of which I've got a whole 'nother one untouched and awesome. The Weapons Pods at rear each have 3 sliding covers with either a cluster bomb missile or a tri-warhead missile behind it. And the claws are poseable.

Thanks for liking my failures, guys. I think.
As to what's holding me up, part of it's that my vision outstrips my skill for some, others it's that most of the time I work up to the point where I can verify that my root idea is sound. I'm really terrible at detail-work the very large majority of the time. I've easily got 50-odd figs that are about 90% done and just need some DullCote and details to be finished; but I've gotten ideas for other things and have started those and I can see that I was on the right path for the others and just never get back to them to finish up. I'd be an excellent 'prototyper' at a toy company, bashing all kinds of whacked-out shit together enough to prove the core concept and then to pass off to others to get pretty for the market.
For what it's worth, there's a turn switch on the bottom of the Motoko bike that makes the wheels slide apart to give a greater wheelbase. I dunno WTF it's actually for, but that's what it does.

all of those are pretty awesome but the shuttle is pure shit, in a good way. Like... THE SHIT. All except for the probot on the front, it looks like a hood ornament from hell! You definately need to finish it though, Put ALL your other crap on the backburner and finish that shuttle. That thing is awesome.
I get side tracked with alot of my work too, I'll start something and then reach a point where I'm sick of working on that project or I can't figure something out so I start on another project I have better ideas for.... I have probably at least 4 figures that are only half finished at any given time....

Man I have loads of vehicles and figures sitting around. I just need the right push to finish them. You should send out the smaller stuff to people and see what they do with it.
