I wouldn't have believed 'em if somebody would have told me a year ago that the battle armored Cobra Commander would become my default CC. The original in '87 never did anything for me, the dark blue version in '97 was just strange, the similar colored repaint of it in 2001 pissed me off... and I just never found the design of it itself to be anything but clunky. But in today's modern world, the armor is not much more "realistic" but it is more plausible than it used to be. The updated sculpt of this in the anniversary sculpting detail kicks the shit out of the 1987 figure and it really is impressive. The figure actually looked awesome in the first pictures but getting it in-hand is a profound experience (okay, almost profound). Yeah, this is my Cobra Commander now. Take this, bitch! Yeah, bow to my might. the boss with his "guys"

Dude, you know there's no point in trying to resist. Anakin tried to resist for awhile and look at how that turned out.

I'd be ingratiating myself with her parents constantly. Then they'd set her up with that nice neighbor boy. ;D

I got a second one for a custom. I saw somewhere someone used the 25th Buzzer head for this guy and it's a dead ringer for the CC unmasked in the comic book!

I'm using a second one for a custom. Arms & legs on a 25th Zartan torso for one of my Hellgate soldiers/knights. Looks pretty boss so far.

Not necessarily, the orginal CC wore the armor for one issue then decided he was fed up with freaks like Raptor and was gonna quit. That's when Fred shot him and took his place.
