[glow=red,2,300] ...........The BATMAN[/glow] 'Im considering killing you this time Joker....' '........what......?' 'he he ha ho hooo ha........you still haven't heard how I got these scars......' This figure still needs a belt, any ideas? Also, the legs are just temporary until I find a more suitable replacement. I was gonna use the accelerator suit legs, but there way too big. Something fully armored, but not too heavy, cause the accelerator legs would have required alot of sanding anyway. Thanks for looking and your comments are appreciated.

Oh that fucking tears it! I knew I should've picked up those FFs when I was in West Virginia! Cool shit man! Loving the sinister armored look for Bats.

Very cool Toby, very cool!
I dunno, I like the legs. Look at maybe an Iron Man 2 figure if you gotta change them out.

damnit... I was so going to do this! maybe not exactly like this but I was definately going to use the new fire-fly as a base for batman! consider this on my list of things to copy!
what did you use for the chest/shoulder armor? and the cape?

I had to put a heavy armored look on him now that hes the dark Knight. Criminals, the Law and even Citizens are after him now. He needs to step up his D!
I kinda like these legs myself. They dont distract too much, but if the opportunity comes for a more appropriate match to his armored upper half, itll be done.
The chest/shoulder armor is from the new FF. And the cape is Darth Vaders.
Parts: Head, Legs- Fire Fly Torso, Lower Arms- 'red laser guy' Upper Arms- Beach Head Chest Armor- Fire Fly Cape- Darth Vader Gauntlets- Fire Fly

yeah, after I looked at my FF again I realized what you'd done with the FF vest. I like it. Definately going to do something very similar to this for my Bat-Man.

Very cool take on the Bat. Looks really good. I'd keep the legs as is.

And Yes, Flash is the dude. Thank SGCaper. PoC? Is that Pursuit of Cobra? Is that the title to the new film or something?

Pursuit of Cobra is the name/theme of the new toys they're putting out.

the wings are a little overkill in my opinion (but seeing as they were added by a child, It's pretty awesome! lol)...
the sword is a nice adition though. The bright silver of the blade is a nice contrast to the dark colors of the figure.
BTW: what color did you use for the figure? it doesn't quite look BLACK to me, maybe gunmetal?

Bad ass! Nice take on the Batman.
I dig the wing look too. How's he look with just the wings and no cape?

Good eye Spuda......Its a dark grey mixed with a couple drops of black and a few drops of blue......Witch in my opinion is a fantastic shade of color. Cause when the suns glimmer hits it at certain angles, you can see the dull blue in it!
I havent glued the armor down to the torso yet, but unfortunately, I glued the cape to the armor......I had to chop off the top of the cape to remove the bulk. I wanted to keep it removable so that the figure could go with or without a cape, but I had to do what I had to do. Maybe if I get another armor piece I can replicate that without the cape.
Still need a belt for this bad bat! His abdominal area is already thick enough, so finding a belt for this piece isnt going to be easy. I dont want him bulky in that area. If I can find a good resembling part for the buckle, I can fill the rest in with random bits and pieces, but that damn buckle....I havnt found anything yet that made me say 'maybe....' The MU Captain America belt was suggested so Ill check that out.
Thanks yall ;D

I started working on mine today. I didn't realy know what torso you used but I went a little different direction with mine. I believe the torso I used was from a flight suit duke figure. the think I noticed about this torso is that the fire-fly armor's neck opening fit perfect with the neck ring of this torso... but I'll explain more of that when I finish the figure and start my own thread on it. I just figured you'd like to see my wip shot, and I wanted to give credit where credit was due for the idea! so heres what I've got so far:

I almost used that piece as well for the abdominal plating, but with the Flash torso, it wound up being too thick. Your looks good with that Duke torso though, smooth and thin......maybe a bit too long length wise but maybe thatll blend away with a paint app. Also those long forearms from BH will help too.
Now, what belt is that? Looks Good! I like the little armored fray coming down giving his cock some cover. I might copy that from ya if that part is easy to get a hold of.....
And I gotta comment on the head usage here.....One of my nieghbors is a huge Batman fan and he cant stand this head for the Bat. Well, the back of the head anyway. Personally I love it! Looks like a bats mane flying through the wind in flight! Perfect!
ps- I like that head your gonna use on that red hood too. Not a big fan of the character, but yours is goonna come out bad ass!

thanks! I think the longer torso will work ok once it's painted. the belt is the lower piece of this fig's chest armor: just the vest: I liked it because it had that classic "utility belt" look to it, with a bunch of tiny little compartments that NOTHING bat-man ever uses would ever fit in but actually somehow manages... lol. I used a piece of the Fire-fly removable armor to fill in an armorless gap on the stomach of the figure as well, the pilot-duke fig I used didn't have any kind of armor there...
