Okay, seeing JFAK's Lt Nobody lit a fire under my ass. I've got an idea to make some Mirror Universe Terran Empire guys that end up in the present-day Universe Asunder, and here's Lt Douchebag's WIP: He's 25A SE's torso, RoC SE's legs (I think, it's one of the guys from the desert 5-pack repaint, obviously), RoC Breaker arms, and the nipples-down hollowed-out shirt from a Sulu fig. I drilled the Sulu shirt out to transparency, and filed down the SE abs down to Reso Duke thinness, and filed the bottom edge of the chest to provide a smooth transition. I'll likely trim the top of Sulu's shirt a bit to bring the bottom of the shirt up some, and add a bit of putty to smooth the transition properly. After lengthening the ab-groove as I always do when I haveta crack the chest open, he's got a bit more range of motion than the regular SE fig does, and the shirt helps the appearance of the moob-joint fold a *lot*. Plan to make a chick to go with him; and have them ride the old Galoob TNG Shuttle Galileo (the story will make sense, hopefully). Just wanted to throw this up in case anyone wants to copy it as I can't guarantee my WIPs ever make it to completion, lol.

Looks good so far Jimbo, I'll be interested to see this one all painted up.

Speaking of that, which color should he be? Liftoff cautions me against yellow because it's a bitch to paint, and red means he'll have to die within the first 10 minutes of his bio, but he doesn't look like a Science guy to me. Why did only Kirk get to use green?

Blue can be medical and red can be engineering.
Yellow can be a bitch to paint.
I could see him in either of the three colors.

so... if the only reason your using the hollowed out shirt is to get a solid, uniform torso that looks like a Trekkie uniform..... why not just use sculpting compound to build it up and fill in the "moob joint"? Wouldn't that have been simpler than drilling out the torso and trying to get it to fit? you could then just cut off the logos from the sulu figure's chest and glue them onto the new figure... or make your own with decals. either way, I'll be watching this to see what you do with it.
btw: I saw some of the 6" alternative universe trek figs today at TRU and it made me laugh a little....

But then he wouldn't have any torso articulation, which is a bad thing. Very nearly the worst thing, imho. And I've swapped out the head here for the RoC Zartan head with some putty to build up his hairline and to give him a Fu Manchu moustache. Gonna make this pair be from the future of the Mirror Universe instead of just the future of the UA. Got the top of the shirt trimmed so it can ride a bit higher, and glued him all together. Will smooth the transition seam tomorrow and prolly paint Friday or Saturday.
