Here's a sneak peek at my latest commission project - Azrael. Wanted a look similar to his first appearance as drawn by the great Joe Quesada in "Sword of Azrael"... (with the DCUC figure I bought on eBay to use as reference) MU Jim Lee Cyclops for the base body, Zartan hood over a Black Panther head, Nemesis Immortal armor, Moon Knight's cape cut to look correct, Jango Fett gauntlets modified and a UFC Fighter's gloves, resculpted to get the correct 3-fingered look. Still some work to do, but I'm pretty happy with the results thus far.

That's awesome, spot to the DCUC figure you've got there. I'm not up on my Batman mythos. I thought this was the guy in the Batman looking armor.

No, this was the look he had when he first appeared in comics.

After being the Batman he reverted to this coloring but with his incarnation of the Batman suit from 500. Big flowing fins and razor claws and a weird armor Mr. Sinister type cape. Look up the covers to Knightsend trade.
I like this custom a ton. A lot of good parts usage. If you really wanted to mimic the hood you could track down a Taskmaster figure.

I actually used an MU Moon Knight first, which was perfect (look wise) but soooo tiny that it was ridiculous when I put it on the body. I had another hood which I liked better but it was too big. I'm not 100% sold on the hood just yet, but I'm OK with it.

Hell ya! Looks great! While I know of the character I am not really that familiar with him. Never read any comics with him or seen him in any DC cartoons yet. Is the styrene flexible or is it brittle? The cloak turned out great but concerned about how fragile it must be.

You nailed that hood and cape man. Great work.

Thanks fellas. The styrene is fairly flexible but rigid at the same time. I glued it onto the back of the inner/softer cape in several spots so that I didn't have to worry too much about it breaking. It moves with the other cape, when that one moves.

When I saw the first pic I scrolled down to see where the 3 3/4" figure was. I thought that was the 6" figure. So yeah, I think you can call that one finished.
