You are doing a really nice job on this. Is it going to be wired for lighting? If so, throw in one or two low output blue LEDS in there. It will really make your ice and crustal pop even more.

That looks great, for crystals all I can think of is melted hot glue, but I have no clue how you would shape that.

For ice crystals form a shape from styrene pieces that you want as your final product and leave one end open... grease up the inside of the styrene with a layer of no-stick (unflavored) cooking spray and then fill the mold with two part clear epoxy!
