It's been awhile since I've done a review for the board.
(I don't have any pictures yet, I'll get some up soon.)
Anyone who is kicking themselves for missing these, you're not really missing too much. They are a little underscaled, Rayner's left leg fell off as I pulled him out of the pack, Kilowog's upper half is perfect, but he seems to shrink drastically in the lower half. They are really stiff and I'm worried about breaking them as well. Though, Rayner has an interesting joint design in his leg. The swivel is hidden in the thigh just above the knee. It's not particularly anatomically accurate, but I think it's an interesting idea. The sculpts on the figures are very detailed and really nice. The construct is pretty cool, a mass of green energy changing into an assault rifle.
Overall, I think they are a great first effort however.
I see these almost like the first wave of the 25th anniversary GI Joe figures. A great idea whose time is due, with new articulation that still needs some fine tuning to really make them the great figures they could be.
More than anything, I hope they are able to sell enough of these to get a wedge in the market to continue making them and get some of the bugs worked out. I would buy the shit out of this line if they keep it going.
I need to figure out when/where/how they are going to release the second 2-pack.

Second pack is a NYCC Exclusive and is set for September or October, whenever NYCC is held.

Gotta get a set for myself now. Damn it gotta get it via ebay. Damn shortsightedness.
As far as next pack goes it'll be NYCC in October. I'll try to pick up what I can so long as it doesn't involve crazy lines.

Ah! NYCC, huh?
Yeah, as long as there are no crazy lines involved, I'll stake you with money for the next pack as well!

If it's as easy as getting this set was no problem. If it's anything like Hasbro was then not a shot in hell.
To get these you had to get in line, put your hand in a bag, and pull out the right ticket, and get a wristband. Shay got it on the first try. When I went to get mine there was no one in line so they just handed me the ticket. We walked down and grabbed the 2 sets. We could have had 4 sets but that meant waiting around about 2 hours (Shay's wristband was for 9am mine was for 11am), So we took our 2 went to the hotel and slept the day away.
The dio set up of all the other figures looked great. I don't have the GLs in my verse and don't think I will so I want these just for collecting sake. Damn shortsightedness.

I saw pictures of that display. It was amazing. It's got me working on my Iron Man dio again.
Yeah, I'm not going to ask you to sleep out on a sidewalk in NYC for figures, but I'll still stake you with money to pick them up in the hopes that they are easily obtained.
