The Finance in Common Summit (FiCS), which will be held from September 4 to 6 in Cartagena, Colombia, announced the agenda that will feature the participation of ministers of state and presidents of the main development banks at the global and national level. . The event will focus on four themes: SMEs and financial inclusion, climate and biodiversity, sustainable infrastructure and the institutional agenda of public development banks. Representatives of multilateral organizations, the private sector, academia, and civil society will also be participating in the event, the largest global development banking summit. Participants will address the new strategies of public development banks to advance financial inclusion, business innovation, green finance and inclusive infrastructure; promoting access of SMEs to financial markets; and innovative financing instruments to promote gender equality with a focus on women's MSMEs. Likewise, there will be spaces for discussion on financing sustainable infrastructure, new tools for a fair energy transition, financing to promote food security, and climate risk management, among others.
